Solar radiation measurement instruments can be classified according to different criteria, such as the type of variable to be measured, field size, spectral response range and the main purpose. The main categories are shown in Table 1-6

According to the relevant provisions of the World Meteorological Organization, the quality of radiation measuring instruments to test the following eight characteristics.

①Resolution: The minimum radiation change that can be detected only by the instrument.

② stability: the sensitivity of the long-term changes, such as 1 year the maximum possible amount of change.
③ temperature stability: with the temperature changes caused by changes in sensitivity.
④ non-linear response: the sensitivity with the incident irradiance level of the different changes.
⑤ spectral response from the ideal response (refers to the induction surface blackness) degree.
⑥ azimuth response from the ideal response to the extent, such as cosine response, azimuth response.
⑦ instrument time constant.

(8) Uncertainty of auxiliary equipment.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) divides the direct solar radiation table into first and second class according to the above eight factors, and divides the total solar radiation table into the second class, the first class sheet and the second class sheet. As for the Earth Radiation Table and the net radiation table of the classification criteria are not given separately, but in the name of the whole radiation table classification, such as the total table as the second class standard, first-level worksheets and two worksheets Three categories.
