The UK opened its first government-subsidized solar farm in Clayhill, Bedfordshire on the 26th. The 10 megawatt (MW) solar farm can generate enough electricity to power 2,500 homes.

The British renewable energy developer Anesco launched, funded and built the Clayhill project, which took only 12 weeks to build. Specifically, this solar farm consists of 31,000 ground-mounted solar panels with a total footprint of more than 45 acres and is equipped with five battery storage units for a total installed capacity of 6 megawatts. Its solar power generator solar panels and battery storage units are supplied by the manufacturer BYD, while Huawei offers the "breakthrough" 1500 volt converter, first used in Europe, which is said to maximize conversion power.

By that time, government subsidies will no longer be needed or relied on. The UK's climate change minister, Claire Perry, called the development "a major moment for clean energy development in the UK." However, the development of the Clayhill project is not The public's confidence in the solar industry and news from the UK's national grid – the UK's energy consumption is the cleanest in history.
