The Kentucky Coal Mine Museum is located in Benham, Kentucky, USA, operated by the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, which has recently been spent on budgets.
"We believe that this plan will save at least $ 8,000 to $ 10,000 for the energy costs of the building itself, so it would be worthwhile to save money in the long run," said Brandon Robinson, the school director, to local media WYMT.
Kentucky Coal Mine Museum set up solar panels by the outside fund to pay, a total of 20 roofs in the installation of solar panels. Despite the size of the 20 solar panels installed, it will cost between 17,000 and 20,000, but between 5 and 7 years of operation, plus the overall operating costs, the cost will be tied.
"Despite a bit of irony, you know that coal and solar energy are just a source of energy for several different sources of energy," said Robinson. "Of course, this area is still king of coal."
