Hyundai EV At 2018 MOVE Summit

Although the 64 kWh version has been on display at the 2018 MOVE Summit, it may be the 39.2 kWh version launched in India next year.
Internationally, Hyundai Kona EV offers two powertrain options. The basic model is powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 136 PS and a peak torque of 395 Nm. It is available from a 39.2 kWh battery and offers a mileage of 345 km*. The Kona EV is equipped with a 7.2 kW car charger, through which the lifepo4 battery pack can be fully charged in 6 hours and 10 minutes. A 100 kW fast charger can replenish the battery to 80% of its total capacity in approximately 54 minutes.
The more expensive Hyundai Kona EV version has an electric motor with a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 395 Nm. It draws power from a 64 kWh battery pack and provides 546 km* of mileage. Similar to the basic model, this version comes with a 7.2 kW car charger, through which the battery pack takes 9 hours and 35 minutes to fully replenish. The 100 kW fast charger can charge it to 80% in 75 minutes.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) will bring the Kona EV through CKD packaging. The company's first all-electric model will be assembled at the Chennai plant. The company has set a sales target of 50 units per month.
