The project, developed and operated by Damane Assurances, will include 40kW solar photovoltaic systems, 415kVA diesel generators and 320kW energy storage systems.
By the end of 2016 when completed, it will become Mauritania's largest micro-grid energy storage projects.
TrinaBEST pointed out that the photovoltaic system is expected to produce about 84,096 kilowatt hours of solar power, annual savings of 56,000 US dollars. The system can support up to 20% of the total power requirements of a given plant even with limited space.
