EnSync Solar Power System In Hawaii

Hawaiian beer maker Kona Brewing Company and EnSync and its subsidiary, Holu Energy, signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to install and deploy their new brewery in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. EnSync said it will install a 336 kW residential solar power generator solar power system and an EnSync DER super module and deploy a 122 kWh battery energy storage system to capture and store excess solar power. EnSync pointed out that deploying an energy storage system for the new brewery will allow Kona Brewing to participate in the Hawaii Power Demand Response Program. EnSync Energy said that the development and financing of its projects will help investors and local energy consumers to further achieve the state's goal of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2025. The company has completed 26 commercial projects in Hawaii with more than $40 million in electricity sales.
