The power emitted by the solar panel is the product of the intensity of the radiation reaching the substrate and its area and efficiency. Battery power generation not only with the daily cycle, seasonal cycle and other climatic conditions change, and because the load required by the power and solar radiation model is not consistent, it must have a battery as a buffer. System designers should anticipate changes in solar radiation, solar panels and battery capacity to optimize the combination to meet the reliability of power to the user. This level of reliability is called the Loss of Load Probability (LOLP). LOLP indicates the level at which the system meets the load requirement. It can be set between 0 and 1. When LOLP = 0, it means that the system can fully meet the load requirements; and when LOLP = 1, it means that the system can not meet the load requirements.
Select the world representative of the 20 solar radiation, using LOLP simulation model, derived from the calculated capacity of the battery calculation chart. The solar panel size is plotted as a function of the average horizontal solar radiation as a function of the latitude as a parameter. The designer can use this graph to determine the maximum tilt angle of the light receiving surface. With such a calculation chart, four sets can be selected for calculation, and the capacity of the battery satisfying LOLP is read for sufficient solar panel capacity. And the designer can choose one of the best combination of economics from the capacity of the solar panels and accumulators in these four groups. These techniques are effective for a fixed inclination setting, with a battery system, and a load power supply amount at an average value.
